I received ‘WordPress To Go’ by Sarah McHarry in the post yesterday. Looks like it’ll be very helpful.
YouTube videos have been a help as I well.

WordPress is intriguing. This website is potentially(/hopefully) a place on the internet where I can create more than consume, but for a non-coder like me it’s all a bit intimidating.
